Lighthouse Battle of Baristas Championship (BOBC) is a grassroots barista championship event in Northern Malaysia. This 1-day non-profit event is held in conjunction with Malaysia Association of Hotel (MAH) and Chef Association Malaysia to promote and improve the profession of barista. The organiser, Lighthouse Coffee (lighthouse-coffee.com.my) is a micro roastery, a coffee training centre and an espresso bar. With a passion of brewing the best coffee for the consumers and inspired by WBC and Malaysia Barista Championship (MBC) founder Victor Leong started BOBC as part of his continuing effort to educate, to promote specialty coffee and bring much needed recognition of the barista profession to Malaysia.
