City’s 5-year financial plan, tour new Mediterranean Cruise Cafe-Burnsville Today TV news-June 9
More number crunching is expected during tonight’s Burnsville City Council work session at 6:30 pm in City Hall. Besides going through the annual audit, staff will present a 5-year financial plan. There have already been work sessions about the 2009 and 2010 budget. Tonight’s financial plan centers on years 2011-2014. The council will also get an update on municipal fiber and Broadband in the community. City staff is seeking council direction on possible future partnerships for providing those services. Monthly financial statements for the Burnsville Performing Arts Center are also part of tonight’s discussion as is pawnbroker and reseller fees. Weather: Tonight: partly cloudy, lows around 50. Tomorrow: partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers, highs 65 to 70. The new Mediterranean Cruise Cafe will open Thursday, June 11, on Nicollet Avenue in the Heart of the City in Burnsville. Owner Jamal Ansari moved his popular restaurant to Burnsville from Eagan. The new building’s senior interior designer Farid Sabongi of Sabongi Consulting Group Inc. gives a tour of the new bigger and better business. In this first part of a two-part tour, Sabongi describes the main space and how he came up with the design.
